Gather The Parts In Your Kit
CM1 Heatsink and Bracket
4x Hex screw
4x Hex nuts
4x shims (black)
4x Nylon washers (white)
1x Thermal pad
Attach the CM4 Module in on to your carrier board.
Insert the shim washers between the CM4 module and the carrier board. Make sure the center holes align.
Clean the CM4 CPU and heatsink with isopropyl alcohol.
Cut the thermal pad packaging.
Peel one side of the plastic.
Stick the thermal pad onto the CM4 CPU.
Peel the other side of the plastic.
Put the CM1 on to the CM4. Align the edges of the bracket to the CM4.
Put in the screws from the top of the CM1 all the way through to the carrier board. You might need to wiggle the screws a little to slide it in all the way through.
Put on the nylon washers and hex nuts. Then hand tighten the nuts.
Tighten screws with the screwdriver while holding down the hex nut. Don’t over tighten. Screw down until there is no gap between the CM1 bracket and CM4 board.
Inspect each side to make sure everything looks right. Done!
